Presentation Guidelines

There are four types of presentations at ICPMG2026:

  1. Keynote lectures (30 min, including questions) in conference room G1;
  2. Spotlight presentations (15 min, including questions) in conference rooms G1, G2 and G3 for the extended conference papers submitted in the Special Issue of the International Journal of Physical Modelling in Geotechnics;
  3. Standard presentations (7.5 min, including questions) in conference rooms G1, G2 and G3 for standard conference papers/extended abstracts;
  4. Pitch presentations (7.5 min, including questions) at pitch stations P1 and P2, adjacent to the conference rooms.

Please find below the relevant information for the presenters.

There is no specific template, so kindly follow these guidelines:

  1. Duration
    • Keynote lectures: 25 minutes with 5 minutes for a round of questions
    • Spotlight presentations: 12 minutes with 3 minutes for a round of questions and switching to the next presenter
    • Standard/Pitch presentations: 6 minutes with 1.5 minutes for a brief round of questions and switching to the next presenter
  1. File format: PPTX only
  2. Slide format: 16:9
  3. Use standard Microsoft Office fonts
  4. Minimum font size:
    • Titles – 24pt,
    • Text Body – 18pt,
    • Graphs – 14pt
  1. Videos should be limited in size and embedded in the presentation with the autoplay option (no mouse will be available to initiate the video)
  2. If required, notes should be printed out by the presenters. There is no presenter’s view available – the screens in the rooms/pitch stations will show the presentation view only

Kindly use the following naming convention to upload your presentation files:

[Session  Number]-[Room/Pitch Station Number]-[ICMPG/PHMG-PaperID]-[Name presenter].PPTX

Example:

For Paper ICPMG2026-999 in Session III, room G1 with presenting author M. Mueller, the file should be named “III-G1-ICPMG-999-Mueller.PPTX”.
