Travel

Located in the heart of Europe, Zurich is an international hub that offers excellent connections to any destination. If you are arriving by plane, the best way to reach the centre of Zurich is by taking a train to Zurich main station (Zurich HB), the trip is a mere 15 min. If you are arriving by train to Zurich HB, there are excellent tram and bus connections for any location around Zurich. Taxis are of course also available, both at the airport and at the main train station. Below you may find travel information using public transport, between key points of interest and the Conference Venue (ETH Hönggerberg).

The venue, ETH Zurich, Hönggerberg, is served by 2 main bus routes: Bus 80 and Bus 69

From Zurich airport to the Conference Venue

  • Train to Bahnhof Oerlikon, and from there Bus 80 (direction Triemlispital) to “ETH Hönggerberg” (about 20 min).

From Zurich HB to the Conference Venue

  • Tram 11 (direction Auzelg) to “Bucheggplatz”, and from there Bus 69 (direction ETH Hönggerberg) to “ETH Hönggerberg” (about 25 min)
  • Tram 14 (direction Seebach) to “Milchbuck”, and from there bus 69 (direction ETH Hönggerberg) to “ETH Hönggerberg” (about 25 min)
  • Train to Bahnhof Oerlikon, and from there Bus 80 (direction Triemlispital) to “ETH Hönggerberg” (about 25 min)

From ETH Zentrum to the Conference Venue

  • From ETH Zentrum: direct eLink to “ETH Hönggerberg” (14 min) (free shuttle bus service)
  • Tram 9 (direction Hirzenbach) or Tram no. 10 (direction Zürich Flughafen) to “Milchbuck”, and from there Bus 69 (direction ETH Hönggerberg) to “ETH Hönggerberg” (about 25 min)
  • From “Zurich, Haldenegg”: direct eLink to “ETH Hönggerberg” (take Tram 7, 10 or 15 to Zurich Haldenegg)
